Ancient History

Trace ancient Athens below the Acropolis, starting at the octagonal Tower of the Winds and the ruins of Hadrian's Library beside bustling Monastiraki. Climb the Areopagus, cross the Ancient Agora where Athenians traded, voted and argued, visit the remarkably intact Temple of Hephaestus, and end at Kerameikos, where the potters' quarter met the great cemetery by the old city walls.
