Art & Museums

Start on the pine-covered slopes of Ardittos Hill above the Panathenaic Stadium, an arena built entirely of marble, and pass the neoclassical Zappeion, born of the Olympic revival, on your way to Syntagma Square. Then explore the Benaki Museum, the Byzantine and Christian Museum in the 1848 Villa Ilissia and the Museum of Cycladic Art, before crossing upscale Kolonaki to end beneath Mount Lycabettus, the highest point in central Athens.
