Grand Boulevards

A longer walk up Budapest’s grandest boulevard, from Miklós Ybl’s State Opera House and the Liszt Academy of Music to the House of Terror, a memorial to the victims of Hungary’s dictatorships. At Heroes’ Square and the Museum of Fine Arts the avenue opens into City Park, with the fairy-tale Vajdahunyad Castle and the vast Széchenyi Bath.
