Beneath Castle Hill: Caves, Bunkers and Ramparts

4 stops · ~2 hr 20 min · 1.3 km

Weird & Unusual

Discover the quieter and stranger side of the Castle District, strolling the rampart promenade of Tóth Árpád sétány to the lone surviving tower of the Mária Magdolna Church. Then go underground: the Hospital in the Rock, an emergency hospital and nuclear bunker in the caverns beneath the castle, and the Buda Castle Labyrinth of hot-spring caves and cellars.
