West Berlin

A longer walk across the old West Berlin, from the ruined tower of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the “hollow tooth”, and the KaDeWe department store to the gilded Victory Column on the Great Star. It ends at two modernist icons of the Kulturforum: Hans Scharoun’s tent-like Philharmonie and Mies van der Rohe’s glass-and-steel Neue Nationalgalerie.
