Princes Street to Calton Hill: Monuments and Views

Start in West Princes Street Gardens beneath the Castle, pass the National Gallery and the soaring Scott Monument, and stop at the ornate Cafe Royal. Then climb Calton Hill, crowned by the Dugald Stewart Monument, the telescope-shaped Nelson Monument and the unfinished National Monument, for some of the best views over the city.
