Cowgate to the Meadows: Edinburgh's South Side

5 stops · ~40 min · 1.8 km

Local Life

Start at the Magdalen Chapel on the Cowgate and pass through the Grassmarket and Greyfriars Kirkyard before heading south into the city's everyday green spaces. The Meadows, once a loch that supplied the town's water, lead on to Bruntsfield Links, where golfers played among old quarry workings.
