This walk connects Wrocław’s water infrastructure with the people and monuments that remember its floods and river history. It moves from a former clean-water reservoir to flood-control engineering, wartime crossings and civic acts of rescue.

    Hydropolis begins with an unexpected setting: the exhibition occupies a nineteenth-century underground reservoir built in Neo-Gothic form.

    Wieża ciśnień Na Grobli is the forty-metre water tower rising here as one of Wrocław’s oldest surviving pieces of municipal engineering.

    Otwarte Muzeum Odry is a floating museum: historic vessels moor on the Oder beside Szczytniki Lock, with the steam tug Nadbór at its heart.
