Koukaki is an Athens neighbourhood in the southeast. It has a substantial vegetable market each Friday, giving the area a regular local gathering point. Veikou Street and Dimitrakopoulou Street are its main streets running across the neighbourhood.

Along Andrea Syngrou Avenue, the ruins of the former Fix brewery now belong to the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens. Koukaki also includes the café and restaurant-lined Drakou pedestrian zone, extending from Gargaretta Square, and the similar G. Olympiou pedestrian zone, extending from Koukaki Square. The Akropoli and Syngrou–Fix stations provide metro access, while tram services include the L. Vouliagmenis and Fix stops. The neighbourhood’s name is also connected with a lively public rhythm: food shopping, pedestrian dining streets, and major cultural transport links all meet within this compact part of Athens.
