Gardenie, Roma

Gardenie is the underground stop beneath this piazzale, carrying Metro Line C through Rome. Its construction began in July two thousand seven and reached completion in January two thousand fifteen; passengers began using it on the twenty-ninth of June that year. The station sits where Prenestino-Labicano meets Prenestino-Centocelle, placing it at a seam between named districts.

This is a newer piece of Rome: a project shaped over years beneath a public square, then added to the Metro network. Gardenie has access points on the piazzale and another on Viale della Primavera, linked by an underpass. Nearby buses and the Gerani tram stop connect it with tram routes five and nineteen.
