Walk through the royal quarter from the naval rowhouses of Nyboder to the Marble Church and Amalienborg's octagonal palace square. Detour into Designmuseum Danmark, the old surgical theatre of Medicinsk Museion and a hall full of plaster casts, then follow the harbour past the Gefion Fountain to the Little Mermaid and the star-shaped Kastellet.
