Teeling Whiskey Company, Dublin
Teeling Whiskey Company is home to an Irish whiskey distillery established in Dublin in 2015. Its arrival restored whiskey making to the city after a remarkable absence: it was the first new Dublin whiskey distillery in over 125 years, and the first to operate there in almost 40 years. The site stands in the Liberties, close to the location of Walter Teeling’s distillery, founded on Marrowbone Lane in 1782.
Jack and Stephen Teeling created the present distillery, continuing a family connection with Irish whiskey. The brand’s emblem shows a phoenix rising from a pot still, expressing the return of the Teeling name. The distillery includes a visitor centre, café and shop, and its whiskey is exported to 44 countries. Its story is a revival rooted in this historic Dublin neighbourhood.
