Most Strachociński carries provincial route four hundred and fifty-five over the Odpływowy Canal between Swojczyce and Strachocin. Opened in two thousand and seventeen, the four-span reinforced-concrete bridge replaces earlier crossings from nineteen seventeen, nineteen forty-five, and nineteen sixty-six.

Most Strachociński is the road bridge carrying provincial route four hundred and fifty-five across the Odpływowy Canal, between Swojczyce and Strachocin in eastern Wrocław. Its present concrete form opened in two thousand and seventeen, but this crossing has already lived several distinct lives. The first bridge arrived in nineteen seventeen: a three-span structure carried by riveted steel plate girders.

It was destroyed in nineteen forty-five. Before that same year ended, the link returned in an emergency wooden version with two spans, and this temporary bridge remained in service until nineteen sixty-six. A replacement built that year reused the original concrete abutments and piers.

It measured forty-two and a half metres long and ten metres wide, with a roadway and narrow pavements. That bridge was dismantled in two thousand and fifteen. Substantial today’s crossing feels: it extends for more than ninety-six metres in four reinforced-concrete spans, more than fifteen metres wide, supported on deep piles. Just south of here, railway line two hundred and ninety-two has its own bridge; farther north along the canal is the road bridge on Ludowa Street.
