On Garncarska Street, this is the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a Roman Catholic parish church that also serves the Sisters Servants of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. It was built at the end of the nineteenth century and consecrated in nineteen hundred. Architect Władysław Kaczmarski designed it on land given to the sisters by Princess Wanda Jabłonowska, while Zofia Wołodkowicz financed the project.

Its eclectic design draws chiefly on Neo-Romanesque forms, a nineteenth-century return to the sturdy, rounded-arch character of Romanesque churches. Notice the sculpture on the front façade shared by the church and convent: Jan Tombiński created it. The furnishings preserve a compact history of the congregation.

Kazimierz Wakulski made the high altar in eighteen ninety-nine, and Wit Wisz created the side altars. A side chapel holds an altar with a portrait and relics of Bishop Józef Sebastian Pelczar, who founded the sisters’ congregation. Another altar contains the remains of its co-founder, Klara Ludwika Szczęsna, transferred here from Rakowicki Cemetery in nineteen ninety-five. The convent house also contains a museum dedicated to Bishop Pelczar, and a small altar with relics of John Paul the Second was added beside the Saint Joseph altar in twenty eleven.
