Kraków Baptist Church is home to one of Małopolska’s oldest Baptist congregations, formally established in nineteen thirty-two. Its history includes earlier meeting places at Dajwór 10 and in Łobzów, as well as children’s work, concerts, a newsletter, and cooperation with Baptist churches in Poland and abroad.

This is the Kraków Baptist Church, home to the city’s First Baptist congregation and one of Małopolska’s longest-established Baptist communities. Its beginnings reach back to nineteen thirty-two, when people in the forming congregation were baptised in Wisła and the congregation was formally constituted. Its history also links Kraków with Baptist congregations in Krynica-Zdrój and Tarnów.

From nineteen thirty-six to nineteen sixty-six, the congregation worshipped at Dajwór 10. It later gathered in a building on Stanisław Wyspiański Street in Łobzów. Zbigniew Sobczak became pastor in nineteen ninety-nine, and the congregation had eighty-seven baptised members in two thousand nine.

The church has also made room for community work. In nineteen ninety it founded the Uśmiech children’s club, while concerts and other artistic events have formed part of its evangelising work. During the first decade of this century, it published a newsletter called Droga. The congregation works with Baptist churches elsewhere in Poland and abroad.
