During the Middle Ages, it probably belonged with the neighbouring Boner House as part of one larger building. That possibility makes this façade a surviving fragment of a much broader medieval property. The townhouse entered the heritage register on the twenty-third of May, nineteen thirty-two, and it also appears in Kraków’s municipal heritage inventory.

But it is not simply preserved as a shell from the past: Pod Jaszczurami, a student club, occupies the building. That mix of protected architecture and student life gives the old address an active role in the square.
