Chiesa di San Luca Evangelista, Roma

Chiesa di San Luca Evangelista is a parish church in Prenestino-Labicano, on Largo San Luca Evangelista near Via Roberto Malatesta. Built from nineteen fifty-five to nineteen fifty-eight to designs by Lucio and Vincenzo Passarelli, it was solemnly opened on the twentieth of June nineteen fifty-seven. Its façade pairs a brick-clad central bay and modern porch with tall glazed flanks; Angelo Biancini made the glazed-clay and cement relief, whose figures include Saint Luke on the right.

Beside it rises a tall bell structure. Inside, renovation beginning in nineteen ninety-six inserted a horizontal floor, creating a lower hall and transforming the original spatial design. The altar end is covered in mosaics: the Holy Spirit and God the Father appear above a cross from which a bronze Christ emerges, with Mary and John beside it. John Paul the Second visited in nineteen seventy-nine.
