Centro Cerámica Triana, Seville

Centro Cerámica Triana is a museum devoted to preserving and promoting Seville’s ceramic tradition. Its story is built into a former pottery complex: in 1870, Antonio Gómez acquired the workshops, and the factory later became known as Cerámica Santa Ana, after Triana’s patron saint. The surviving industrial setting includes seven kilns that remained active until the late 20th century, along with work areas, warehouses, wells, and pigment stores.

Look at the restored kilns and the routes linking these different parts of production; the museum keeps the relationships between the trades that once worked here. The conversion was led by architects Francisco José Domínguez Saborido, Ángel González Aguilar, Miguel Hernández Valencia, Esther López Martín, and Juliane Potter. The museum opened on 29 July 2014 and also functions as a cultural workshop.
