Leave the old town through the Isartor and follow the river to the ornate Müllersches Volksbad, a Jugendstil swimming bath, and the Deutsches Museum of science and technology on its island. Climb into Haidhausen for the Hofbräukeller, then end at the Friedensengel, the gilded figure on her column above the Isar.
