Park Tadeusza Mazowieckiego, Warszawa

Park Tadeusza Mazowieckiego is a compact urban park on Warsaw’s escarpment, within an uneven patch bounded by Myśliwiecka Street, Górnośląska Street, Aleja Armii Ludowej, and buildings near Jazdów Street. Its earlier name came from the nearby Jazdów neighbourhood and its street. On the eighteenth of April, twenty eighteen, the park took Tadeusz Mazowiecki’s name.

Mazowiecki served as the inaugural prime minister of the Third Polish Republic, holding office from nineteen eighty-nine until nineteen ninety-one. The planted ground and paths make a quiet seam between larger public landscapes. A renewal in twenty sixteen added trees and shrubs, while also repairing the paths and steps.

The park joins Ujazdów Park by a path, touches Marshal Edward Rydz-Śmigły Park along its northern edge, and meets Agricola Park at its southern boundary. It is a modest place, yet it gathers a hillside route, recent care for its greenery, and a name tied to a defining figure in Poland’s democratic republic.
