Muzeum Polskiej Wódki, Warsaw

Here, Muzeum Polskiej Wódki fills a restored rectification house dating from 1897, formerly the chief production building of the Koneser distillery complex. On the facade, the surviving “Rektyfikacja Spirytusu 1897–1970” lettering preserves the building’s industrial voice. Inside, the museum traces more than six centuries of vodka-making across Polish lands, from early methods through present-day production.

Its exhibition uses galleries to move through that long story, including a recreated rural distillery and an 1817 alcohol-distillation apparatus designed by Jan Pistorius. In the lobby, rotating black panels carry grain imagery; elsewhere, floors reuse old spirit barrels. The museum welcomed visitors in June 2018, giving this factory building a new role without erasing its working past.
