This is Kościół pw. Świętego Michała Archanioła, a Roman Catholic parish church in Karlikowo on 3 Maja Street. The church dates from 1951, and its dedication is to the Archangel Michael.

Notice the stained-glass windows: Maria Leszczyńska created them, giving the interior an individual artistic voice. The parish grounds also hold a remarkable recent memory. On the fifth of June nineteen ninety-nine, Pope John Paul the Second visited here during his seventh journey to Poland and celebrated Mass at the Sopot Hippodrome.

The church served as the seat of the local deanery from the third of August nineteen eighty-six until the tenth of December twenty seventeen. Its religious community has changed over time. Teaching brothers once worked here; today the Carmelite Sisters of the Infant Jesus and the Discalced Carmelites have their religious houses at the church. A former parish priest, Zbigniew Zieliński, who led the parish from two thousand four to two thousand seven, became an auxiliary bishop of the Gdańsk Archdiocese in two thousand fifteen.
