Dworek Sierakowskich, Sopot

Before you is Dworek Sierakowskich. It is a historic manor house in Sopot, built in classicism, a style that favours balanced proportions and restrained decoration. Dating from 1790, it belongs among Sopot’s oldest buildings and has provincial heritage protection.

Since 1974, the Society of the Friends of Sopot has made its home here. The house remains a cultural venue rather than a preserved domestic interior: its gallery hosts exhibitions throughout the year, and Dworek Cafe also operates inside. Theatre at the Table brings dramatic works from across the world into these rooms.

Thursday chamber-music evenings have continued without a break since 1974. That continuity gives this manor a distinctive character. It holds onto the scale and atmosphere of an old residence, yet its rooms are regularly filled with art, spoken drama, and live music. Dworek Sierakowskich is both a surviving piece of Sopot’s built heritage and a place where the city’s cultural life keeps gathering.
