Ambasada Grecji, Warszawa

Ambasada Grecji is the Greek Republic’s diplomatic mission in Warsaw, at Górnośląska thirty-five. Its home is the former villa of Tadeusz Zieliński, occupied by the embassy since two thousand one. That settled setting conceals an itinerary through the city: before the Great War, Greece maintained a vice-consulate here, later elevated to a consulate general.

Poland and Greece established diplomatic relations in nineteen nineteen, and the legation began operating at that level a few years afterward. Following the war, relations resumed in nineteen forty-five; the mission became a legation again in nineteen fifty-five and an embassy in nineteen sixty-two. Within Warsaw, its work includes consular, economic and trade, and press offices.

Greek cultural and practical life extends beyond this property too: the Greek National Tourism Organisation has maintained a Warsaw office on Mokotowska Street since two thousand seventeen, while the Warsaw Greek School has been on Kazimierzowska Street since two thousand three. The villa carries a long-running relationship between Poland and Greece, with its official address now woven into the city.
