A former manor landscape has become this eight-hectare green refuge on Wrocław’s western edge. Park Strachowicki lies in Strachowice, close to Wrocław–Strachowice Airport, yet its ponds and mature trees give the place a quieter rhythm. As you walk along the path, you are moving through grounds shaped from an old manor estate, bounded by Strachowicka, Zarembowicza and Graniczna streets.
The park’s official present name has been in force since a Wrocław City Council resolution of 9 October 1993. Its greenery is managed by the municipal green-space authority. This is not only a local patch of parkland: together with vegetation around the airport and the Żerniki district, it forms part of a broader natural area.
The water here belongs to the Ługowina stream’s drainage basin. At a safe pause beside the ponds, notice how water and established planting share the same compact space. Among the notable trees are pedunculate oaks, European beeches, bald cypresses and pin oaks; some are protected natural monuments. There is also a children’s playground, making this former estate landscape a working neighbourhood park as well as a place for trees and water.
