Muzeum Łowiectwa i Jeździectwa, Warszawa

Muzeum Łowiectwa i Jeździectwa explores hunting, nature, and equestrian culture through collections housed in the Cantonist Barracks and Kubicki Stable. Its galleries include hunting interiors, woodland and bird displays, while the stable contains a carriage collection. The museum belongs to the Royal Łazienki Museum.

Muzeum Łowiectwa i Jeździectwa is a Warsaw museum, with its collections divided between the Cantonist Barracks and the Kubicki Stable. It brings together the natural world, hunting traditions, and the study of horses rather than treating any of them in isolation. The museum began when separate plans for a hunting museum and a horse museum were brought into a shared project in nineteen eighty-two.

It opened on the first of July nineteen eighty-three, led by the artist Tomasz Konarski until nineteen ninety-three. During the conversion of these Łazienki buildings, its early small-scale displays appeared elsewhere in Warsaw; a seasonal permanent show later opened in the Cantonist Barracks in nineteen eighty-five. The barracks now hold displays on the Polish hunting salon around the turn of the twentieth century, alongside galleries devoted to woodland and birds.

The Kubicki Stable contains the Zbigniew Prus-Niewiadomski Carriage House, giving the horse theme a tangible counterpart in vehicles made for travel and ceremony. Since twenty eighteen, this museum has formed part of the Royal Łazienki Museum.
