Warsaw Icon Museum occupies a former boilerhouse in Ochota and is devoted to icons. The museum includes the Chapel of Saint Gregory the Martyr, Archbishop, where church furnishings accompany icon paintings, mural reproductions, and stained-glass designs connected with prominent artists and workshops.

Muzeum Ikon w Warszawie is an icon museum in Ochota, installed in a building that once supplied heat as a boilerhouse. Among Warsaw institutions, it was the first dedicated icon museum in the city and the third of its kind in Poland, following those at Sanok and Supraśl. Inside, the Chapel of Saint Gregory the Martyr, Archbishop, belongs to the museum.

Its church furnishings share the space with icons painted by Grzegorz Zinkiewicz, works created through the Iconography Studio in Bielsk Podlaski, reproductions of Jerzy Nowosielski’s murals, and designs for stained glass by Adam Stalony-Dobrzański. The museum grew from the initiative of Metropolitan Sawa, head of the Orthodox Church in Warsaw and throughout Poland, together with Michał Bogucki, a specialist in Eastern Christian cultures. On the twenty-ninth of November, twenty eleven, Metropolitan Sawa opened the museum after a prayer service marking the beginning of the undertaking. Rather than maintaining a permanent exhibition, the museum presents its material without a fixed display.
