Centrum Nauki Kopernik is a Warsaw science museum named for Nicolaus Copernicus, set beside the Vistula. Centrum Nauki Kopernik is a science museum in Warsaw, and it bears the name of astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. Along the Vistula, its broad, low complex gives science a deliberately hands-on home. More than four hundred and fifty interactive exhibits let visitors conduct experiments themselves and uncover scientific principles through action.

The public entered the building from the fifth of November twenty ten. Notice the planetarium’s boulder-like form beside the main building: inside, a vast curved screen encloses the audience, drawing them into films and live shows about space, nature, and culture. This is Poland’s largest science centre of its kind, and it ranks among Europe’s most sophisticated.

Since two thousand eight, the centre and Polish Radio have jointly staged the Science Picnic, Europe’s largest open-air event devoted to sharing science. Its reach is immense: by twenty twenty-five, it welcomed its fourteen-millionth visitor. The name honours Copernicus not as distant history, but as a reminder that observation, testing, and questioning can change how you understand the world.
