Its name comes from Pęgów, a village farther along this provincial route, rather than from the immediate neighbourhood. The bridge is fifty metres long and nine metres wide, a compact crossing made for through traffic rather than ceremony.

Its load-bearing beams are reinforced concrete, while the surface above them is asphalt. The roadway takes six metres of the width; pedestrian pavements run along both edges, though they are not the same size. Notice the straightforward rhythm of the structure as it meets the riverbanks: this is engineering kept deliberately legible.

The bridge lies north of Świniary, on provincial road three hundred and forty-two. Once you pass across it, you reach Wrocław’s boundary with the Wisznia Mała municipality; the neighbouring settlement is Szewce, where Topolowa Street continues. Here, a modest twentieth-century bridge also marks the point where the city gives way to its outer landscape.
